Schools. DFW, also known as the Metroplex consists of great schools like Brighter Horizons, Al-Hedayah, Vanguard Academy, Islamic School Of Irving, IQA and recently launched Good Tree Academy. To preserve the Qur’an and fulfill the growing need of huffaz, Islamic schools struggle to balance hifz and standard education. "It is a challenge", says Good Tree’s Administrative Coordinator Annie Ghazi. “Hifz requires a lot more resources and a smaller student to teacher ratio, raising the cost of education,” she explains. “If this ratio goes up beyond 1 hifz teacher per 12 students then not all students may get proper attention.” Muslims in the Metroplex are rising to the challenge. A group of DFW community members have started HifzNation.com to help develop sustainable and a quality hifz program without sacrificing standard subjects. "Qur’an learning and memorization is not a part-time or on the side effort", says HifzNation’s team. "We must learn to make Qur’an a routine part of our lives".Benefits of this endeavor are universal. Muslim community members across the United States are urged to join hifznation.com and support Qur’an memorization alongside school. Our children are the future leaders in the West. Help us empower them with proper education and Qur’an in their hearts.
